I love their little pink paws. I think we've all gone broody now. _________________ Getting eliminated is all part of the fun. |

All are still doing great.
I took a wobbly moment in the middle of the night as I suddenly thought she might try to move them onto the sofa and had visions of them disappearing down the back of it!
So I shot out of bed and up there to check! All well of course, but the sofas now have blankets over them so none could fall into nasty spaces behind cushions if she did move them!
Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. It really is an amazing experience seeing new pups born. I didn't realise just how huge their mouths were on birth! Obviously then need a well developed mouth to suck, but it's a bit out of proportion at first. And all those pink noses! |

Thank you everyone.
They are all doing great so far. Honey is delighted to have got her new slimline shape back and (despite what the books say) has enjoyed getting out for a walk from day one.
She's a good mum however and has been very tolerant of people coming in to take a look at her pups. She's proud I think and really enjoying the attention.
I lecture in FE and all this week have started each new class with a pic of the puppies on the data projector. Then I have made an attempt to link the pic to my lesson.... I'm a biology teacher and with one class we were doing hormones and that was easy just talking about birth hormones .... another was doing genetics, so the slightly lame connection was that JRs produce JRs! . I slightly gave up with the chemistry class and we all just ooooohed and aaaaahed until the late comers arrived! |
